Coffee Talk Edit. No 1

Hello Fridaaaay!!

NEW to the blog!  I’ve decided to share a “coffee conversation” piece each Friday to reflect on the past weeks events, future endeavors, and to also share some of my favorite likes and loves.  Written, of course, while sipping on my morning cup(s) of joe, the title is seemingly fitting!

Can I get a hallelujah?! Knock on wood, my family is healthy and finally over the dreadful, prolonged sickness that has taken it’s turn infecting every. single. member of our family.  For weeks, we all took turns waking everyone up either coughing or sneezing. Fingers crossed, we stay healthy!

While today might be the coolest and gloomiest day of the week, the past week’s warm temps and sunshine have me craving Spring.  Getting to spend the day outside, wearing shorts, taking long walks, and playing at the park was just what I needed but….I want more!  All this “spring” talk inspired me to update my blog page with color!! Check it out!

Now that it’s getting warmer I’m itching to go shopping for pastel clothes and Summer accessories.  Despite my temptation, I am trying (so hard) to hold off a little while longer. I need to clean out my closet to see what I really need (for those not familiar, this is called #adulting 😉 ).  The older I get, the more practical I get.  Like, making sure I really need something before just up and buying it.  My mom would be so proud!!

…And since I’m on the topic of shopping….  Why does Target have to have such cute everything? Why? Seriously, I can’t ever go in Target without browsing the clothing, shoes, and accessories sections and wanting everything I see.

P.S. Browsing online doesn’t make it any better.

Last Friday, my husband and I enjoyed a really nice, overdue date night.  You can read more about our (rare) outing here.

This weeks episode of This Is Us… Are you guys watching? You should be. For those of you who aren’t watching but plan to, I won’t ruin it for you, but this weeks episode of This Is Us made me bawl like a baby.  I’ve done really good with keeping my cool and composure, up until this point.  Each and every Tuesday, I’m left anxiously anticipating next weeks episode.  I am dying to know what happens to Jack!

If you’re looking for a simple, special, DIY wedding gift idea, look no further!  This week I shared a post on how to do just that!  It’s a friend favorite 🙂

My sister, niece, and nephew are coming to town this weekend for an all day (literally, all dang day) basketball tournament.  It’s always a good time when we all get together for any occasion.  Bring on the weekend!

In other exciting news, we booked our 5 year anniversary trip to Mexico this week!  Not that I want to wish away the time, but September can not get here soon enough as I am reeeeally in need of a major relaxing vacation.

Have a Great Weekend!
