Holiday Reflections: Staying positive in a negative world

Natural disasters.  Mass Shootings.  Yes, our nation has seen its unfair share of tragedy this year.  This Holiday season, is a great time to pause and reflect on the past, to pray for those who have had a tough year whether they lost a job, a home, or are battling an illness, and to also remember those who so innocently lost their lives to misfortune.

It’s a time to spread hope and cheer and rejuvenate.

Christmas gives us the opportunity to pause and reflect on the important things around us – a time when we can look back on the year that has passed and prepare for the year ahead- David Cameron

What better way to end the year than with some positive words of support and encouragement to brighten your spirits and lift your mood.  Of course, we all have challenges ahead of us, but just like before, time and time again, with the help of God, our family, and friends, we will make it through.  We can all agree, as a nation, there’s power in numbers, and it’s important for all of us to find the motivation to focus on the positive, even when positivity seem like nothing more than wishful thinking.  This world is a crazy place but I choose to believe, and I hope that you will too, that we are still good people.

be the good

What a journey this life is!  How blessed and lucky are we to wake up today?  To have food to eat, a roof over our head, our family, our friends, our health….our God?

Yes, life is hard, but GOD is GOOD!

………………………………………………………………

Praise and support each other in genuine, honest, heartfelt ways.

Build each other up, not tear each other down.

Empower one another to reach their goals.

Spread Positivity.

Compliment each other and be nice.

Come together; we are all equal in God’s eyes.

Strive to create a better world for our children and our grandchildren.

Be strong.

Show the world your smile.

Encourage others to pursue their dreams.

Let’s motivate each other to keep going.

Laugh more.

Fight less.

Always say please and thank you.

Be humble.

Be kind.

However you celebrate this holiday season, or whatever the holidays mean to you, I wish you all the happiness, laughter, good food, and good time spent with those who matter most! Stay positive, choose to believe, and be the good!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, Everyone!
